Flatter Veronaville Request

Anon requested a flatter Veronaville here.



The terrain isn't exactly the same as the original near the edges, Anon - I had to build up instead of flattening out to keep the river intact. I tested it on the Veronaville hood and all the houses etc showed up where they should. It might need a little bit more flattening with the terrain cheat but hopefully it's more buildable than it was. I used these settings with Mootilda's Hood Replace program and there's a copy of this image with the settings in the download too in case they're needed.



Put the other two files (VeronavilleFlatter.sc4 and FlatterVeronaville.png) into your SC4 folder - Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SC4Terrains

Veronaville looks great! I love your downloads, if you're still doing requests, do you think you'd be able to make a Downtown terrain with more roads and also flatter? The default downtown is kind of small. Or do you know of a way to bring part of the terrain up to where it is all on the same level? The bridge kind of makes things uneven with the huge hill. Sorry another question do you know of any good sc4 terrains to use for a downtown?

If you've got freetime (I think it came with that) you can use the "modifyNeighborhoodTerrain on" cheat to fiddle with the terrain - put in the cheat, select a section of terrain by clicking/dragging on it and use [ and ] to raise or lower it and \ to level it.

Voleste has some nice sc4 files that'd suit a downtown

I don't think the Downtown template is in the sc4 folder, pretty sure I've looked for that before. As far as I know there's no way to extract the sc4 from game files but feel free to correct me if you know another way. It might need to be rebuilt entirely in SC4 to cover the extra roads aspect. Which seems like a huge pain in the butt.

Hi Slig I'm not sure if you'll see this or not it seems you are a bit busy. I'm the same person who requested Veronaville. Thank you so much for that. Now I was also wondering if you knew anything about the University hoods (Academie Le Tour, Sim State, La Fiesta)? Could you possibly flatten those as well?

Thank you, this is great! Veronaville hes some really weird/unpractical bumps and roads, it will be nice to try a more player-friendly version.

I did not realize this was uploaded! I didn't think you saw the comment I posted so I just googled to see if anyone else had possibly done one. But wow! Thank you Slig for doing this! I'm downloading it right now XD

I'd been playing a bit of SC4 recently anyway so it was no bother. Hope it's what you were after. :)
