I got an upload accepted at MTS so if you would like some fat/preg dresses for your male-bodied sims/cross-dressers etc then you can check them out here - http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=523799
I just downloaded all of your window glass defaults (thank you very much!), and I'm now wondering if it was feasible (and practical) to default the blue glass with your glass texture for the entire game, meaning that you'd only need one file in your download folder. Of course, only as an alternative for those like me that put no value in blue glass fences, blue glass tables and the one or other blue glass gismo. :)
I tried figuring out a way to do just that but for some damn reason the glass for tables/doors/fences etc all have different values so overriding them in one swoop seemed impossible, some of the windows even have textures as well as txmt values which made them look very blue indeed! Maybe someone out there with more modding knowledge than me would know how, it'd be awesome if it could be made to work. I have done a few of the other things, the OFB fence/awning, the BG glass tables, Art Nouveau windows, maybe a couple of others. If there's anything specific you'd like I wouldn't mind doing it.
Ugh, I made the mistake of believing that the blue glass was the same for all of the objects, and I also thought that it was called marine_glass or something like that. Silly me. I took a look at the coffeemaker, the modern glass table and a window, and, like you said, they all have different glass values and all files are named _glass. Replacing the glass would therefore affect all of the glass textures, blue or not. Unfortunately, I have no solution for that problem, either. My modding knowledge is close to nil.
Anyway, thank you for answering my question and giving me the links; now I'm off to stuff my default folder with some more defaults. :D
