Happy New Year. Have some random bits and bobs I'd forgotten to upload.



70s/Vintage walls. I had these in my Sims 1 game, AlexPilgrim made them and he converted them for Sims 2 a long time ago now. I can't find a link for them so I've uploaded the original walls as well as the ones I rejigged. The coving/skirting was nicked from a wall Aviolina made available in her Silent Hill files - it didn't tile properly so I'd kept the texture and binned the wall, intending to do something with it - I have no idea which wall it is from.



10 Simoleons, wallpaper. Looks good with AL ceilings. Alex's original walls have no coving or skirting, I think they're a different price unfortunately.

And the last thing that has been sitting in the folder forever, cigarette machines/cigarettes from PCSims. They were in a lot I downloaded ages ago from Mocha@SimsUrbania (I forget which one but go check them out, they're great). The textures were bloody awful though so I redid them at some point, I changed the original textures of the objects themselves rather than recolouring. I use them for grungy decor really, the animations on the cigarettes and machines themselves are pretty clunky.

I've edited some pie menu strings on these to make more sense, I've also added my nick to the catalogue description so they stand out from the originals in case they get uploaded anywhere. Same GUIDs though.

Wow,such nice content.
I really love the 70s Wallpapers,the halfwalls and the cigarette vending machines.Finally some nice ones,i only have one and that thing is more or less just a textured box and it is sitting on the ground!Who the hell should by cigarettes if the vending machine is lowered to groundlevel.Maybe nicotine addicted rats and mice?
However,thanks for uploding again sme great stuff.Keep up the good work...

Clunky animations and all, I'm rather fond of those pc-sims cigarettes so this is great, thank you! (The advertising on them is outrageous, though; if you use them primarily for decor how do you keep 'em from mobbing the machines?)

I've never noticed them getting mobbed, is that weird? I have seen the odd townie buying them when I've got playables at a comm lot though. I'll switch it down and reupload for you if you want.

Edited to add - perhaps Mocha already edited these, only the wooden one has a fun rating advertised and they're all set to non-autonomous in TTAB. Try them in-game and see what happens?

Well, after another look - single cigarettes appear to be autonomous on all machines, buying a box isn't, which explains townies buying the odd thing from them. Like I say up there I've never noticed them getting mobbed but if you want them changed, holla.

I'm a big fan of Mocha's lots but mine came from pc-sims directly so maybe? I'm thinking I just may not have had enough fun stuff to do on some of my lots, though. I haven't been using it in my current hood so I'm just going on memory but I know the townies (well, dormies) spent a lot more time at my dive bar smoking than drinking. In any case, these textures will fit in a lot better than that garish red, so thanks again.

I was wondering if you could modify cigarettes mode.
I really want to add the ability for sims to smoke cigarettes from their inventory (like interacting with cellphone but with cigarette box and single cigarettes). Is it possible?
